Las ratas me asuelan / rats are chasing me

En las pacas de paja de la obra anidaron decenas de ratas.
Todas ellas estuvieron explorando mi casa e invadiendo mi espacio.  Fueron muy depredadoras.

Se comieron un saco nuevecito que ni siquiera había yo estrenado:

Dozens of rats nisted in the straw bales.
All of them explored my house and invaded my space, They were quite predators.

They chewed a new suit which I hadn´t even used:

Y en la lavadora royeron los cables y la descompusieron:
And inside the washing machine they ate the cables and created a malfunction:

Por si fuera poco, invadieron mi mesa y revolvieron todos los restos de comida (mismos que guardo para hacer composta):

That not being enough, they invaded my table and went through the food leftovers that I cumulated for thecomposting pile):

En la entrada a la casa aún no he puesto puerta. Simplemente puse hojas de triplay para impedir un poco la entrada del frío.

¡¡¡Pues las ratas se dedicaron a hacer sendas entradas a la cocina!!!! Yo me quedo afuera y ellas pueden entrar muy orondas!!!

I still do not have a door at the entrance. I simplyplaced some plywood sheets to hinder a little bit the cold.

The rats produced several new entrances to the kitchen!!! I stay out and they can enter at pleasure!!

Y hasta mi yogurt se comieron....
And they devoured even my yoghurt...

Tuve que instalar trampas para atrapar a las ratas:
I had to install traps for the rats:

Después de darles de comer, las liberé en una barranca cercana:
After feeding them, I released them at a nearby gorge:

Aunque no estoy muy seguro si sirvió de algo, pues sospecho que varias de las 7 ratas que logré atrapar eran la misma, que retornaba una y otra vez en un "carrusell turístico".

I am not sure if this action was effective. I suspect that several of the 7 rats I captured were the same one, coming back in a "tourist carrousel".
