Exhibición de rototiller y avance en la banca / exhibiting a rototiller and progressing the cob bench

Hoy el sr. Reyes trajo un rototiller de Teoloyucan (creo que en español se llama fresadora de suelos o azadón mecánico). Ojalá se facilite la pulverización del tepetate y la fabricación de cob.

Today Mr. Reyes brought a rototiller from Teoloyucan ( I believe that in Spanish it is called a "floor miller"). Hopefully it can break up the soil and eases the production of cob.
 

El resultado: Como herramienta para romper terrones y para mezclar la pasta para el cob, el rototiller resultó excelente. Sin embargo tuvo problemas para romper el durísimo adobe: las cuchillas penetraban muy poco en cada pasada de esta máquina. Creo que adquiriré uno, pero de tamaño pequeño (5 u 8 caballos de potencia).

The result: as a tool to break up the small clumps of soil and to mix cob, the rototiller works very well. However it did only scratch the surface of the very hard soil: the blades did not "bite" but only superficially . I believe I´ll get one,but much smaller (5 to 8 horse power).

Una larga grieta apareció. Creo que se causó porque el barro estaba demasiado mojado. En las próximas veces, haré la mezcla un poco más seca.

A big crack appeared. I believe it was generated by the to wet clay. In the next times, I´ll make the mixture drier.
